With the escalation of the conflict in Yemen, millions of people lost their jobs, which prompted many families to resort to harmful strategies for survival. The BCHR worked in partnership with IOM to implement a project to improve livelihoods for the IDPs and the host community in Marib Governorate. Marib was chosen as it constitutes the largest shelter for people displaced from conflict areas.
The project included two sectors of CFW for cleaning the neighborhoods of the districts of Ma’rib Al-Madina and Al-Wadi in Ma’rib Governorate, and the vocational training sector in mobile maintenance, pastry-making, hairdressing, incense and perfumes making, photography, production and ornamental tree shearing.
